Needless to say, I'm looking forward to my first major dose of Langdon at a certain screening in Brandon tonight, where I'm sure the reception will be enthusiastic :)<br /><br />I also like your observation about how much of silent cinema "now seems fresh and new to people" and I think you're totally right. It's always inspiring to me to see even something as silly as animated GIFs of Langdon or Lloyd, who'd once been neglected as great comedians, getting good responses on social media like Tumblr. With the advent of DVD and streaming services, these guys are, to a certain extent, again basking in the popularity they deserve. Of course, nothing can compare with live accompaniment and an interested audience, so thank you as always for making the more genuine experience a reality for those of us in the wilds of Vermont!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
